Hello!
I am very new linux, virtual machines, servers ect.
I have been running MineOS as a jail on my TrueNAS server but have run into several issues that I assume is because I do not have a dedicated VM. Any suggestions for an operating system that I can run as a VM and then setup for MineOS through my TrueNAS server.
Any help would be much appreciated.

TrueNAS has a plugin for MineOS and I’ve been running it for nearly a year now, myself. What kind of issues are you running into?
Specifically with Forge. I know there is a glitch with the profiles not showing up currently, but I was never able to start a server. When I clicked start nothing happened. I tried switching the runnable jar to the installer and then the forge but nothing happened
