MineOS service won't start on Lubuntu

I just finished installing the python version of MineOS on Lubuntu and when I do “service mineos start” I get “==== AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.systemd1.manage-units ===
Authentication is required to manage system services or other units.

as an error. How am I able to solve this?

What do these commands report about the problem?

Also, I don’t really do much with the Python webui (hexparrot/mineos), but instead only the Node one (hexparrot/mineos-node), so keep that in mind…it is feeling rather outdated and stale nowadays, though it still works.
