Mojang / Microsoft now has released an API for scripting in beta: https://minecraft.net/en-us/article/scripting-api-now-public-beta. For the time being only on the Windows10 Minecraft client. More info on the scripting API: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Bedrock_Beta_Script_Documentation
Some ideas for MineOS using this when it comes out of beta:

a per server script repository along the same lines of the profile system. Use Mineos to add, remove and run scripts for Minecraft, and make sure that a script can be used on several servers.

a hook into the deeper running of minecraft to make use of the different game controlling parts of minecraft MineOS else has to bridge in via the command console.

an easier way to get game statistics?
