Hello, iv been playing with this distro for a bit here, and i was trying to figure out if it was possible to set it up so that i could create a user and assign them server, but restrict access to the ability to modify the ram and max players?
Currently there is no capacity to limit servers by ram or max players–from the webui. These attributes are governed by server.config and server.properties, respectively, but they are also double-checked that they are owned by the server-owner specifically.
I have no current plans of modifying it to be more administrator/user-like; all users in MineOS are equal, and their need to co-operate and share resources are their responsibility.
That said, there are more than just jar-based profiles, e.g., phar and proxy servers, etc., so limiting by ram isn’t even possible on these types. So for the most part, there is no way to manage RAM utilization.
