Help installing mods w/ Forge (very new to MineOS)

The forum should not lock you, unless you misbehave. Contact @hexparrot (forum owner) to find out if, and if so why you acount got locked.

I prefer to help you in here, since that will mean anything we do, and any errors we discovers and fixes (and also any work-arounds we do) become available to othe members of the forum that may experience the same issue.

Remember that this is a free service, and all of us are here as forum participants, not employees. MineOS is not made by a software company, but by Hexparrot on is own free time. So I am sorry to say that I prefer to keep MineOS things here for my part. Sorry. (I do the same at work, separate work and private email).

I am also not going to be in tonight, so I wont be able to help personally again before tomorrow. You rbest bet is on the forum, where all the forum-people can see and chime in. We have several very good posters here that will do their best.

OH, and BTW:
I am not a forge-admin. I use vanilla, bukkit and Pocketmine. So My kind of help (other than log-reading) will be to ask you about things like how many minecraft servers you will be running, and how many of them you will be running at the same time, to try to find out if you really need mineos, or if a standard forge self contained server package is what you really need.

ok, can we start from square 1 and restart this, cus I’m super lost at this point, I don’t have root access atm but might be able to get it

here is a log that my dad emailed me:

Ok. Square one it is:

Start by logging on to the MineOS Webui. Delete the troublesome server (remember to delete all files, tick all three boxes down in the corner under the heading “delete server”).

Then follow the guide @Dermot_Walsh wrote you : Help installing mods w/ Forge (very new to MineOS)

Do it by the letter, and exactly as he writes.

I tried doing that yesterday and got super lost, thats why I was so eager to get into a call or whatever, but ill just ask questions as I get confused

like what profiles on mineos ui

Confirmed confirmation of two accounts, neither are suspended. Please keep in mind, there are many ways to allow access to this forum. One, is to create a username/password specifically for this site. Another, is to use your existing Google auth.

It appears you first started by using “With Google” to log in. This worked. But it seems that on subsequent attempts you instead put your Google info into the login field for the other approach.

In other words, your second/third/etc. attempt you did not push “With Google”.

Then you created your second account “m2”. You created this as a MineOS-only username/password combination. This “m2” account would use the login form shown here.
