So i recently made a new mineOS server and all was swell and good until i asked if any of my friends could join they said that it could not connect i searched the internet for a solution but couldn’t find one could anyone please help
You’re looking for a feature on your home modem/router called “Port Forwarding.” This is the feature that enables users from the rest of the internet to access servers in your home network.
You needn’t find Minecraft-specific tutorials–the one that is designed for your modem/router is preferable; and when you’re asked what ports to open, you then fill in your Minecraft server’s port, which is likely 25565.
You will also need the local ip of the server when port forwarding. Just for good measure… this is the same ip you use to connect to the mineos webui.
