FreeNAS 11.1 - MineOS upgrading to 1.8 to 1.12.2

Created a MineOS install on a FreeNas 11.1 server. The jail and plugin were created by using the plugin installer with FreeNas. Everything started correctly and successfully running a 1.8 server. The server ran stable for a few days. Now when trying to update the server from 1.8 to 1.12.2 there are a few bugs. One the server proprieties are missing in the Wedui. Second when changing the Java Settings and the Server Actions to 1.12.2 the server will not boot. Please understand there are limitations to my knowledge in command line so please spell things out if you can help.
