Cant seem to add forge mods

I can get forge to Launch but as soon as I add any mods into the Mods folder it will no longer start up. it will no longer boot…

using 1.13.2 any advice?

  1. Confirm what version of java you’re using. I’ve heard continued reports that the ISO doesn’t include the Java 8 necessary to run that modern a Minecraft but so far no user has been able to report back to me the URL they’re using to get this outdated ISO.

  2. When you add files to the mods folder, what user are you acting as–and check if the files are owned by the server owner (e.g., mc) and not root. Being root and adding files to a server owned by non-root means that the non-root user can’t modify and maybe can’t even open the mods you’re adding.
