I recently installed MineOS onto an old laptop and got it up and running generally easily. Now, I can’t figure out how to connect to it. I have “Broadcast to LAN” checked in the Interface, but it doesn’t show. I use Java Edition on my 2016 Macbook Pro, for context. Anyone know how I can connect either locally or not?
Does your Macbook have a firewall that could potentially be blocking this?
Broadcast to LAN operates on UDP (as opposed to the webui, SSH, or Minecraft which uses TCP). Check if your firewall can be temporarily disabled and if this exposes the running server in the game searcher.
Aside from that, you can type the IP address of your laptop directly into Minecraft. Let us know if you run into any error messages.
