ok i didn’t know this was thing
Found it, it is set to 4.
The former. They play from their homes. In these Corona times actually a bliss.
Yes I thought about that too, that they gave the address and port away. Not much I can do about that one though.
I don’t fully understand the definitions, but setting this to a value of 1, should limit who has “op” access.
“op”s can use a lot of commands, even ban legit players and/or command blocks, etc.

unless you have granted players op-status ("/op [playername]" ingame), oplevels do not help anything. op-level do not modify rights of other than players with op-status.
I would leave it at 4 in any case.
The levels are as follows:
(from: Permission level – Minecraft Wiki)
Level | Highest level of access |
---|---|
Level 1 | Ops can bypass spawn protection. No commands are assigned to this level of operator. |
Level 2 | Ops can use /clear, /difficulty, /effect, /gamemode, /gamerule, /give, /summon, /setblock and /tp, and can edit command blocks. |
Level 3 | Ops can use /ban, /deop, /kick, and /op. |
Level 4 | Ops can use /stop. |
