After some initial sucessfull testing of MineOS I have installed a fresh copy onto my FreeNAS box. However for some reason I am unable to get the “Start” button to do anything.
Does anyone know how I can diagnose this issue and start my new servers up? It’s weird because this is a fresh install and I have had a working copy of MineOS in the past.

Dunno if applicable for you, but sometimes it “forgot” which Profile and Server file to use. Just reselecting those worked for me. (I have multiple Profiles installed)
Thanks! Unfortunatly I have tried multiple times to click and select the profiles. I have even tried using an older version yet it seems to do nothing.
Not sure if its a bug with my webui but could be wrong
I am pretty new to MineOS myself, but I wonder, why there are no Java errors. Do you have Java installed and using correct arguments? Does it work to start the server via console?
Sucessfully downloaded the profiles and assume the install is clean after having some a few commands in console.
Would be great if I could start the server via command if there is on?
Well, as long as you have access to a console you should be able to launch the normal command:
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.1.15.2.jar nogui
Maybe you have to change directory first.

are your server logs being created? games/minecraft/servers/[name of server]? Could you paste the crash report and log file?

I only seem to be able to view mineos logs, Server logs are not being generated by the looks of things.
Interestingly looking at minos.log the server start command/button press is being registered but yet nothing happens.
Still not working 
Anyone have any suggestions?
SSH into your MineOS server. Use the same username and password you use in the WebUI
change directory with the command
cd /var/games/minecraft/servers/{your-server-name-without-curly-brackets}
Enter the command
java -jar {name-of-the-minecraft-server-jar-without-curly-brackets}
Then see what messages pop up, and if there are any error-messages. I suspect a query or message blocking java from running far enough to start the minecraft server log.
Thank you for popping up, I have been looking at this for ages and am almost out of hope. I am super confused what is going on because I had actualy been running MineOS for a while before I decided to wipe the system and re-install clean (after some initial testing), Bad idea that was.

OK. So the Jar starts succsessfully.
In MineOS:
in the java server pull-down menu: Is your server jar selected? Do it stay selected?
Does not seem to remain set, If I refresh or sign out then it is not select in the dropdown, However I am able to see the jar in the server directory via FTP and it stays in there.
The server jar you select should be autosaved to a file called server.config
If this fails to save for some reason mineOs won’t know what jar to start.
Check which user owns owns the files in your server? It might be an file ownership problem
