Ok, then do this:

rm -rf /usr/games/minecraft/node_modules

and then update again.

It’s clear from the output that we’re not getting a reset, because the reset actually reports it’s resetting and deleting. Since I don’t see those words, I have to assume you’re still continuing to do update_webui.sh and not reset_webui.sh.

I’m not losing patience, but I’m worried you will start losing patience, but the things I’m asking of you aren’t being returned back, so I’m sorry if this is a cumbersome experience for you.

I see immediately your system is reporting node 4.9.1.

From the instructions, it should’ve been node v10:

Note, I know that installing the new 10.x node uses apt-get install nodejs, but I’m not sure whether your 4.x would be removed with:

apt-get remove node
apt-get remove nodejs

Try the nodejs one and confirm your 4.x is removed. Then, install nodejs and rebuild the modules:

You’re on 7, right? Is this a new install of Debian? Was this MineOS Turnkey or a different Turnkey release?

This is debian 7 and this is not the recommended mineos iso, it is an older version I found on the website

I think we’ve run into a real hard stop, here.

NodeJS 10 is modern and required, but your underlying OS cannot run NodeJS 10.

It’s quite possible to upgrade from Debian 7 and beyond, but doing so requires probably a lot more work than its worth, compared to just installing a newer version of Debian right from the get-go.

Does your account have sudo privileges? I use that moreover than su?
If you already logged into su with the root password, then root won’t need su
