Re-Install/Wipe the OS?

I’m trying to completely reinstall MineOS Turnkey and I’m having issues. I’ve created another USB boot image properly, but when I try and boot from it and reinstall it, I am not prompted to.

So here’s what i’ve been doing. When the computer starts up, I hit enter and select the USB as a temporary startup device. I select it and immediately the GNU GRUB menu comes up with two options:

  1. Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64
  2. Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (Recovery Mode)

If i select the first option it simply starts up the server as normal.
If I select the second option it boots recovery mode.

I’m trying to completely reinstall MineOS. If anyone could help that would be great

I’m inclined to think that after you select the USB as your startup device…if it brings you to GRUB with those two options…maybe it is failing to see a bootable system on the USB and then falling back on to your already-installed system?

Can you verify that that USB boot drive works on any other machine (you won’t need to install it atop your other OS, but does it give you the same options?)
