I cant get root access to the server files to change the world folder

I recently tried to gain root access in order tochange the world folder in my ftb server using putty but it keeps on telling me

server unexpectidly closed network connection

ps: i am using the mine os plugin for free nas

Why do you need root access to change the world folder? Isn’t each of the minecraft server folders themselves owned by a non-root user, like mcserver or something?

I was a putty noob and had no clue on how to access my Nas. I did a bit of research and used basic commands to move the world folder.
